Story: The Poke ball, known as the small round device that every Pokémon trainer and master carries to keep their Pokémon safe and ready to battle against other trainers. Used for mainly catching wild Pokémon like a Bulbasaur, Pidgeotto and Butterfree, it is also to be considered to be their home and nest to rest, but what Pokémon is inside this ball?
Creating: With the launch of the popular worldwide game of Pokémon Go, I knew I had to capture a moment that every player was doing at the time… catching Pokémon. With having my own Poke ball from childhood in 1999, I wanted to capture this moment that allowed me to show viewers and think what kind of Pokémon could be inside the ball? Leaving with the viewer with their own imagination, I wanted to create a nice atmosphere of scenery that could relate to the different kinds of wild Pokémon you would find in the wooded areas and a sense of realism.
Facts: As a trainer progresses on their journey of becoming more of an experienced trainer with catching their Pokémon and battling, they can start getting better upgraded balls which become stronger and better for catching rarer Pokémon in different locations: Great ball, Ultra ball and Master ball and the list goes on with a collection of 26 balls.
. Inside every Poke ball, fans and players of Pokémon see two different versions of what goes on inside the ball for the Pokémon. As many fans see the Poke ball to being the Pokémon’s home and where it can rest and heal from battling against other trainers, some consider it to be an empty sphere that shrinks the Pokémon to fit inside the ball and sits there until it’s been called out for a purpose, which was seen in the black and white episode The Light of Floccesy Ranch where you see Dragonite is visually seen inside the trainer’s ball just sitting there.
